Community Outreach Programs
At the Church of the Holy Spirit, our commitment to serving the broader community is a fundamental part of our mission. We are actively engaged in several outreach programs designed to provide support and assistance to those in need:
Food Pantry
Open Every Saturday: 10 AM – 12 PM
Our food pantry continues to be a lifeline for many families in our community. Last month alone, we provided essential groceries to over 150 families. The pantry is open every Saturday, and we welcome donations of non-perishable food items. Volunteering at the food pantry is also a rewarding way to give back and support those facing difficult times.
Clothing Drive
Winter Clothing Donations: Ongoing
As the colder months approach, we are collecting gently used winter clothing to distribute to those in need. Your donations can make a significant difference in the lives of individuals and families who may not have adequate clothing for the winter season. Donations can be dropped off at the church office during regular hours.
Senior Support
Volunteers Needed
Our Senior Support program is designed to assist elderly members of our community who may need help with daily tasks or simply a friendly visit. Volunteers are needed to make home visits, run errands, and provide companionship to our senior members. This program not only offers practical help but also strengthens the bonds of our church community.
Youth and Family Activities
The youth and family activities at the Church of the Holy Spirit are crafted to foster strong relationships and spiritual growth among our members:
Youth Group Meetings
Every Wednesday: 6 PM
Our Youth Group provides a safe and welcoming space for young people to come together and discuss their faith and the challenges they face in their daily lives. Led by dedicated youth leaders, these meetings are a highlight of the week for many of our young members, offering both support and fun.
Family Movie Night
First Friday of Every Month: 7 PM
Family Movie Night is a monthly event that brings families together for an evening of entertainment. Held on the first Friday of each month, this event is a great way to unwind and enjoy quality time with your loved ones. Popcorn and drinks are provided, making it an easy and enjoyable night out for everyone.
Sunday School
Every Sunday During the 10 AM Service
Our Sunday School program is designed for children ages 3-12 and meets during the 10 AM service. It’s a wonderful opportunity for children to learn about their faith in a fun and engaging way. Through stories, crafts, and interactive lessons, our young ones are introduced to the teachings of the Bible in a manner that is both educational and enjoyable.
Spiritual Growth Opportunities
Spiritual growth is a cornerstone of our mission at the Church of the Holy Spirit. We offer several opportunities for members to deepen their faith:

Spiritual Retreats
Next Retreat: October 20-22
We have planned a spiritual retreat from October 20-22 at a nearby retreat center. This retreat will focus on prayer, reflection, and community building. It’s a chance to step away from the hustle and bustle of everyday life and spend time in quiet contemplation with fellow believers.
Monthly Workshops
Next Workshop: August 18th
Topic: Deepening Your Prayer Life
Our monthly workshops cover various aspects of spiritual life, from prayer techniques to understanding scripture. The next workshop, titled “Deepening Your Prayer Life,” is scheduled for August 18th.
